The education of our children is a top priority at Temple Emanuel of North Jersey. Grounded in the tenets of the Conservative Movement, our Hebrew school is designed to provide each child with a strong education and positive Jewish identity. We service a diverse constituency from a variety of backgrounds. Studies include history, customs, rituals, and language. Our teachers provide resource, support, and motivation to meet the individual needs of each student, thus making their weekly experience both informative and enjoyable.
Hebrew School
Classes are offered to children Kindergarten age through seventh grade. All grades meet Sunday mornings from 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Our school year runs from September through early June. Our current location offers easy access from both Bergen and Passaic counties.
Our Rabbi, Joshua Cohen received his ordination from The Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. He is responsible for the religious and educational philosophy of our school. Rabbi Cohen also leads Junior Congregation on several Shabbat’s throughout the year. Junior congregation is held at 9 AM prior to regular Shabbat services.
