Service Times and Schedule

Friday night services are held the first and third Fridays of the month:

  • First Fridays Family Shabbat, which brings together family and friends for Shabbat services at 6:30 PM and a dinner at 7:30 PM.
  • “My Jewish Inspiration”, a Shabbat Eve speaker series, debuts Friday, October 19 at 6:30 PM. During the congregation’s Friday evening Shabbat services on the third Friday of each month, Temple Emanuel members will reflect on their personal sources of inspiration. October’s speaker will be Alvin Reisbaum. An Oneg Shabbat will follow services. See the complete schedule for “My Jewish Inspiration“.

Friday night services generally last for approximately 45 minutes. We sing Kabbalat Shabbat and then continue with Maariv. The service, while mostly in Hebrew, does include some readings in English. Singing and melodies can be found on almost every page.

Shabbat morning services are held every week and begin at 9:30 AM and continue through approximately 11:45 AM. Our full Torah reading is followed by Rabbi Prouser teaching about the weekly Torah reading. We conclude with Musaf. Kiddush is open to all with a light lunch and social atmosphere.

All our services are led by Rabbi Prouser and members of the community.

For those in our community who wish to recite Kaddish for a yahrtzeit (memorial of a loved one), we can arrange services at your request. Simply contact our office and staff can assist you. Please give us at least one week’s notice.

Holiday services generally follow the schedule and times outlined above.
