Join us!
Temple Emanuel of North Jersey is a warm, close-knit, community-oriented congregation. We want to be a part of your life journey. There are many ways to become a part of our community.
Seeking kindred spirits with whom to pray and socialize? Wanting to deepen your Jewish learning? Looking for a way to further develop and grow our community? Consider participating in one or more of our communities and get involved!
Join us at prayer. We are a traditional, egalitarian, Conservative synagogue. Women and men take equal part in all aspects of our prayer services. We read the full Torah portion on Shabbat mornings. We use the Etz Hayim Torah and Commentary (Bible) and the Siddur Sim Shalom (prayerbook). Most of our prayers are recited in Hebrew and we encourage everyone to find additional meaning in the prayer service so feel free to follow in English or bring additional readings to help create a spiritual foundation for your prayers (and feel free to make suggestions of resources we can share with our community!). Join us for regular services and for shiva or yahrzeit minyanim in support our community’s mourners.
Join us in learning. Build up your prayer and Torah reading skills. Engage in traditional Jewish text. Explore contemporary expressions of Jewish identity and life. We offer a number of events and program series that are good for the soul. Join our community of learners as we deepen our Jewish journeys together.
Join us in supporting and building our community. We welcome your participation in and support of our community. Participate in our activities and events, become a member, donate your time or financially toward the support of our community.
